 My name is Sean, but the Pack calls me Jinx.  I am a group facilitator, experience designer, freelance creative consultant, and the Mad Violet behind the Howler Project. I was at the lowest point in my life when I stumbled upon a book that changed everything. My days were a blur of alcohol, my nights I spent as an EMT at a homeless shelter, called the Sobering Center, in downtown Seattle. The irony of my situation completely lost on me. I had no direction, no purpose, and no hopes for the future. Until one day, fate intervened.

It was a chance recommendation from a friend of a friend that put Red Rising in my hands. At the time, I was sleeping in the back of my pickup truck, with nothing but a bottle of liquor and a deep sense of hopelessness. I was hesitant at first, not seeing the point in reading something that I thought was just another sci-fi novel. But something about the way they spoke about it piqued my interest. So, I decided to give it a try.

From the very first page, I was mesmerized by the story of an oppressed society and a young man's dream to change it all. This story resonated with me in a way that I never thought possible. It was as if Pierce Brown was speaking directly to me, filling me with a newfound sense of purpose.

Instead of just being a mere observer, I started to feel as though I could be a part of something bigger. Something that mattered. As I delved deeper into the story, I found myself drawn to the powerful words of Eo's Dream to "Live for More". Her words inspired me to change my life and strive for something greater. It was a turning point in my life, and I began the hard work of transformation.

Years later, I have come a long way from those dark days. Now, I have built my own legion of Howlers, dedicated to committing Militant Acts of Kindness and choosing compassion. Together, we strive to make a positive impact in the world and spread the powerful message of Eo's Dream.

I have explored many career options, from enlisting in the Navy, to personal training, Emergency Medicine, to group facilitation and leadership. All of these things have taught me to be an intentional leader, understanding teammate, and an advocate for community. My goal with each program is to help instill qualities of trust and vulnerability that foster an environment of creative collaboration...(what do you hope for them)
