There's no shortage of instances of indifference and selfishness in our world. As we've become more "connected" we seem to have all but lost connection with the people and world around us.
The question is, what are we going to do about it? At the Howler Project, we believe the answer is Militant Acts of Kindness.
We take actions that support our mission to make the world a kinder place, one MAK at a time. Whether that means clearing trails with the Parks Service, volunteering at local food banks, or simply picking up trash from the side of the road, The Howler Project stands ready to bring a little more kindness to the world.
Militant Acts of Kindness are community improvement projects planned, funded, and conducted by the Howler Project and our Howlers. The most basic MAKs are our Litter Removal Operations (LROs).
-Sebastian Junger, TRIBE: ON HOMECOMING AND BELONGING.
"Our actions ripple through space and time in ways we can neither predict nor control. Whether by planting trees, organizing litter clean-up along trails and roadsides, volunteering at soup kitchens, or something as simple as holding doors open for other human beings, we wield the invincible weapon of kindness.
When we see issues in our communities, it may not be our fault.
We get to choose to take responsibility."

The Howler Project is committed to making a positive impact on the world through Militant Acts of Kindness.
With your support, we will be able to expand our reach and impact, inspiring more individuals to engage in acts of kindness and making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
