Bring the story of Red Rising to life with a virtual 15k honoring The Reaper's Sprint through Agea to the Citadel of Light in Golden Son.
Run with Darrow and the Howlers as they begin their assault on Mars and join them in their sprint to The Citadel in Agea.
How it works
Choose your own 15k course and set your desired playback speed.
Put in your headphones and hit play on chapter 38 of Golden Son: The Iron Rain.
At a pace of 12:00/Mile, the 15k should take just shy of 2 hours, coincidentally a similar time as the 1.0x playback speed on Audible for CH. 38-42. If my math holds (I'm obviously not a Blue) 1.25x playback speed will require a 9 min/mile pace and 1.5x playback speed will require a 6min/mile pace.
Select your playback speed and try to keep up.
Pup: 1x speed = ~12min/mile
Initiate: 1.25x speed = ~9min/mile
Peerless: 1.5x speed = ~6min/mile
Record your run on your platform of choice (Nike+, Strava, Garmin, etc.) and post a screenshot of your results. Be sure to use the hashtags #ReapersSprint #LiveForMore #NeverBow.
After you finish The Reaper’s Sprint, you’ll receive a custom pin to proudly wear on your Howler jacket or Wolfcloak.
This is an honor-based event meant to immerse ourselves in the world of Red Rising while pushing beyond the boundaries of our comfort zones. It is not intended to exclude or ostracize any member of this incredible fandom. We all have our strengths and hesitations, if you find that you are hesitant to participate for fear of being seen as inadequate, know that we Howlers are here to support one another.
All the events the Howler Project facilitates are meant to be celebrations of the collective achievements of those who choose to step forward. Contest > Competition.
